JAC strives to recognize the unique cultural needs of the Jamaican and the Caribbean diaspora while we connect and build meaningful partnerships with our brothers and sisters from the local communities within Connecticut and beyond.
We are committed to providing resources, programs, and events that will help to enrich the lives of members of this community and foster a sense of solidarity and connection.

Hurricane Melissa Relief

Hurricane Melissa will bring damaging winds, life threatening flooding, mudslides, and property damage.  JAC is ready to offer support to those impacted on the island to bring necessary food, goods and supplies.  Your assistance is necessary to ensure the impact of our relief efforts.

Community Service is what drives us. 

Community Service is paramount to our purpose.  As such, we have

Hosted Immigration Forums and the Registrar General of JamaicaVolunteered at Soup Kitchens Fed the Homeless Collected useful supplies and shipped barrels for the islands of Haiti and Dominica Support the work of the Nathan Ebanks Foundation in Jamaica |   Collected and donated children's clothing to the Woman's Inc. Centre in Jamaica through a partnership with AFJ. Collected and donated medical supplies to Jamaica through a partnership with Reverend Janice Hart and the American Friends of Jamaica (AFJ)
